Imagine a world where wearing masks outside, or inside was not mandatory. Imagine not feeling fear around being around other human beings.
Imagine if you will, being able to go into a pub without having to buy a full meal I say this because in the UK this is what life was like for us when we left.
Once out of isolation in New Zealand another outbreak was found and we had to yet again go into our fourth ‘lockdown’ scenario. How I reacted was not very well. To go from one lockdown to then being under house arrest was not the most fun in the world. The good thing is that it did not last long, really. Or at least the first of the New Zealand lockdowns we experienced didn’t.
Seeing people unmasked is a bit surreal considering our last year in London. We are continuing to wear masks in shops as a precautionary measure for now. Having said this, people are giving us strange looks for wearing them. When will we take ours off? I don’t know, for now when we are around other people I think we will still keep our distance.
